Stakeholders
Community & Networking

The most effective solution for collaboration with stakeholders is through the development of a community of knowledge, valorization and action.

In this community, stakeholders are co-interested in identifying system problems and innovating practices and tools to solve these problems.

Principles in
Stakeholder
Engagement

  • Establishing a community of knowledge, exchange of experience for the identification, modelling and replication of good practices.
  • Multi-actor approaches, which emphasise the pro-active involvement of different categories of stakeholders.
  • Engaging all categories of stakeholders by using the quadruple helix model, with 4 categories of stakeholders: academia, entrepreneurship, governance, civil society.
  • Critical thinking, developed in support of co-creation and co-innovation activities.
  • Involvement of stakeholders throughout the epistemic chain, understanding by epistemic chain a spatio-temporal system of knowledge production, structuring and distribution.
  • Involving all stakeholders in the processes of understanding and shaping strategies, policies and decisions regarding the organisation and design of ways of life and quality of life in urban and rural systems.
  • Facilitating actions and strategies that contribute to increasing value in urban and rural systems, as well as training stakeholders to become facilitators and shapers of public opinion in support of value-added development.
